Nudes by the Aegean Sea

In 1977, I bought a ticket to Greece, and left everything behind. I moved to the island of Paros, a place I’d only read about in the book Greece, on Five Dollars a Day. On Sundays, my new friends and I would go to the nude beaches to picnic on the rocks and swim in the Aegean sea. I photographed our days, a time of freedom to be ourselves in the company of other women. For me, it was also a time to explore my artistic expression with my camera. This collection is a compilation of that summer.
